One of the biggest financial challenges facing home care agencies is rising workers’ compensation insurance premiums. Because caregivers are working in uncontrolled and unsupervised environments, insurance underwriters see high risk. The result is high and often rising insurance premiums.
The ClearCare Insurance team sits in the same office space in San Francisco as the rest of the ClearCare support and services group. We chose this because we wanted our customers to have the same high-level of responsiveness and support as ClearCare provides for our core platform. And, we've built thousands of relationships with home care agency owners who are using our home care software system and we wanted the insurance team to be just as solid and connected to you.
I'm proud of the team we've built and the savings we've been able to find for hundreds of agencies. Here are a few commitments we've made if a home care agency decides to work with us:
- WorkSafe - Assist in the implementation and support of the built-in safety program that is behind the pre-negotiated work comp credits.
- Nurse Triaging Service – Should an incident occur, caregivers are directed to a 24/7 nurse-on-call service, proven to reduce the number of filed claims by 40% and the ultimate cost of each claim by 50%.
- Claims Management Services - Monthly review of claims incurred to assist customer in minimizing costs and returning injured caregivers back to work.
- Pay-as-you-go – Choose pay-as-you-go payment options to improve cash flow by reducing large upfront premium deposits.
- Insurance Services Department – We'll help with policy updates, renewals, and all the details.
